Privacy Policy

Last updated July 29, 2026

This policy covers what Niko collects and how it is used. The short version: we collect what we need to run the product, we do not sell your data, and your outreach stays yours.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we store the email address and social handle you give us. When creator accounts launch, we will also store your profile details (niche, links to your work), the brands you choose to pitch, and the pitches and follow-ups sent through your account.

How it is used

Your information is used to operate Niko: matching you with brands, drafting pitches in your voice, sending the emails you approve, and emailing you about your account and early access. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Email sending

Pitches send from your own connected email address, with your permission, and only for the outreach you set up. You can disconnect your email at any time, which stops all sending immediately.

Google user data

If you connect a Gmail account, Niko requests two permissions: permission to send email on your behalf (the gmail.send scope), and read access (the gmail.readonly scope) used only to see brand replies to the pitches you sent through Niko. Niko never receives your password.

What the read access is used for, precisely: Niko looks up only the specific email conversations started by pitches sent through your Niko account, by their individual conversation IDs, which Niko recorded at the moment it sent them. Niko does not list, browse, search or scan the rest of your mailbox, and it cannot see emails unrelated to your Niko outreach. A narrower Gmail permission that reads only those conversations does not exist, which is why the broader read scope is requested and why its use is limited in software to the conversations described here.

What is stored: for the conversations Niko started, Niko keeps a copy of the messages in that conversation. That includes the full text of each message as fetched, its subject line, its Gmail message identifier and its timestamp, for every message in that thread, not only the brand's first reply. Niko stores this so it can show you the conversation, work out whether the brand is interested, and manage the follow-ups on your behalf. That is the feature you connected your account for. Niko does not store any message from any conversation it did not start.

If a brand's reply names a different person to contact, Niko may read that address out of the message and use it as the address for that brand going forward, so your follow-ups reach the right person.

Niko also stores the Google access credential (a refresh token) that lets it send and read on your behalf, along with your Google account address, when you connected it, and which permissions you granted.

What deleting does, stated plainly: deleting a pitch you have not sent removes it. Deleting a conversation that was already sent or replied to removes it from your view, but Niko keeps the stored message content in its database. If you want that content actually erased, ask us and we will delete it.

Niko's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never transferred to third parties except as needed to provide the sending and reply-handling features you asked for.

You can revoke Niko's access at any time from your account settings or from your Google Account permissions page, which stops all sending and all reply reading immediately. On revocation or account deletion, stored Google access credentials are deleted.
